A visit to the happiest place on Earth may be just what you and your family need after months of staying home. Walt Disney World has plans for a phased reopening in July. While new safety precautions are in place to ensure visitor safety, parades, shows, and meet and greets with the characters are off the table for now. Summertime and Nantucket go together, so we are happy to know White Elephant has plans to reopen six of its properties starting mid-June. The high-speed ferry between New York City and Nantucket will resume service mid-June.
Mackinac Island in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is open for visitors. The ferries are running and most of the isle's businesses and hotels are open for the season, including the famed Grand Hotel.
European countries and landmarks are slowly reopening to EU residents, with U.S. visitors soon to follow. The Louvre in Paris is scheduled to reopen in July, while Lake Como's beloved Villa D'Este hotel will begin welcoming guests mid-June.
